Welcome to Hebden Bridge Comedy Club
Since September 2011 we’ve brought the very best in live stand up to Hebden Bridge. Comedians from as far afield as Africa, Canada and the US have joined familiar faces from the telly and more than one award winner. We are based at The Old Gate on the second Sunday of every month with doors opening at 7.45pm and the show starts at 8pm prompt. We aim to finish each show not long after 10pm.
Money, Money, Money – Always Funny
Admission is £8 but we recommend purchasing advance tickets as usually sell out a day or two before the actual show. These are available behind the bar or online. We can only refund or reallocate in the event of a show not going ahead and not due to line up changes.
Ssssshh!!!
We want all our customers to have a great night so we ask you to refrain from talking once the show is up and to turn off your mobile. We are in a small room and sound carries easily so please respect the people around you by not chatting when the acts are on stage. It’s a proven scientific fact that 99% of all heckles are crap. If you want to try your hand at making a crowd laugh then we can give you contact details for amateur comedy nights where you can give it a go. In short, have fun, laugh your socks off but if your behaviour is spoiling the show for the majority you will be asked to leave without refund.
Hebden Bridge
Hebden Bridge is a former mill town in the Yorkshire Pennines. Since the Seventies it has built a reputation as a magnet for hippies, creatives and artistic types from around the world. Beautiful scenery combined with quirky architecture and a rich local cultural heritage make it a popular place for tourists.
